Next generation seed requires new approach to fertility

Aug. 5, 2010 -Although farmers in the US planted 47 percent of their corn acres to stacked-trait, insect-resistant hybrids in 2010, researchers at the University of Illinois-Champaign have found indications that these hybrids have unique nutrient demands in order to maximize yields.

Another corn-based technology approved in Europe

Aug. 3, 2010 -Another week, another approval in the European Union for a GM-based corn technology.  In a joint announcement from Pioneer Hi-Bred and Down AgroSciences, it has been reported that corn hybrids with the Herculex I insect trait and those with stacked traits containing Herculex and Roundup Ready Corn 2, are now permitted for import.     READ MORE
