Tips for tough or damp canola Oct. 29, 2009 -The Canola Council of Canada is sharing some tips for late-harvested canola, acknowledging the impacts of a cold, wet harvest and the effect those will have on storage and other issues. Weather, exports signal bullish soybean market Oct. 30, 2009 -Wet weather and a delayed soybean harvest have provided at least one positive effect on growers: the price of soybeans is trending upwards. Case-New Holland cuts 300 jobs Oct. 24, 2009 -A layoff announcement issue late last week at Case-New Holland’s Saskatoon plant may be marking a decline in the company’s sales. But while earnings have declined 23 percent compared to the same period last year, the company did post a quarterly operating profit of $72 million (US), according to the Star Phoenix.
